Fort Worth prices eased, but one part of the market still moved faster
Redfin reported that Fort Worth home prices fell 0.9% month over month in September. That sounds like a slow market. But the numbers in one ZIP code tell a different story.
In the three months ending August 31, 2026, the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 420 homes sold in ZIP 76179. That is up 10.8% from the same months a year before. More homes sold, not fewer.
Homes moved faster too

Prices softened, but buyers kept showing up
The Real Estate Data Aggregator put the median sale price in ZIP 76179 at $325,000 for the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is down 3.5% from a year before. A small dip, not a drop.

Nationally, Realtor.com reported that mortgage rates topped 7% in September 2026, the first time since January 2025. Realtor.com also noted that 20.8% of listings took a price cut in September, the highest share since October 2022. Those headwinds are real.
Still, the Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 426 pending sales in ZIP 76179 for the same period, up 8.1% from a year before. Buyers kept moving forward.
More sellers came in too

Some homes still moved quickly
Not every home sat. The Real Estate Data Aggregator found that 26.3% of homes in ZIP 76179 went under contract within two weeks of listing. That share is up 2.4 points from a year before.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator also found that 11.2% of homes sold above list price. That is up 0.9 points from a year before. A softer market does not mean every home left money on the table.
